It’s design consists of  277 SOLID spherical links (approx. 22kt).  The unstated purpose of these chains was a way to avoid heavy taxation on gold in Colonial Times (they would break of links or shave links to pay for things!) In Excellent condition and actually is wearable (rarely seen).jw
